About the Artist
I started taking photos seriously in the 1970's, developing my film and making my own prints.
When printing in the darkroom we had limited options and many constraints. It was a messy process that required a lot of time in a room with toxic chenicals.
During the eighties and ninties I worked as a computer programmer and consultant. I started with small mainframes and moved on to PC's.
In 1999 I learned Photoshop and was able to combine two life-long interests. Now I could work with my photos in new and very exciting ways, turning some into what I call "digital art". Its not really a photo and not a painting.
The word photograhpy means painting or writing with light. Photoshop enabled me to do that, take my photo as a starting point and evolve it well beyond what could be done in a darkroom.
I teach a Photoshop study group in NYC. (click here for the study group web ste)
Four years ago I moved to Bronxville and have been taking photos here every since.
You can order prints of any pictures you like directly from me.
I will be adding more pictures so please keep dropping by from time to time.
